Bio

Miguel Angel Galvan is a San Diego-based movement artist, educator, and choreographer whose work merges street-informed foundations with contemporary performance practices. His approach centers individuality, collaboration, and the expressive potential of the moving body across diverse dance environments. He has trained extensively within the San Diego and Los Angeles dance communities and studied within the Department of Theatre and Dance at UC San Diego. He has performed with groups such as Afta Shock, The Most, and Gwownups and is a recipient of the Emerging Artist Residency at the Arts District Liberty Station. Currently, Miguel teaches at Culture Shock San Diego and serves as a Lecturer in Dance at San Diego State University, where he continues to build work that bridges movement forms and fosters inclusive creative spaces.
