Chamber Choir is an advanced mixed-voice ensemble that performs 6-8 concerts annually. Programming is thoughtfully constructed each semester to encompass a diverse array of languages, styles, and time periods, including major works with symphony orchestra and other collaborative partners. The ensemble frequently collaborates with living composers, commissions new works, and hosts celebrated guest artists, clinicians, and conductors from around the world. Chamber Choir alumni currently teach throughout the state, and sing with professional companies including San Diego Opera, Bach Collegium San Diego, San Diego Master Chorale, Sacra/Profana, and San Diego Pro Arte Voices. The ensemble tours both nationally and internationally, and performs at regional conferences curated by CMEA, and ACDA. Alumni have gone on to continue their studies in the nation’s finest graduate programs in music education, choral conducting and vocal performance.
