Charles Friedrichs

Bio

Charles Friedrichs earned an A.B. from California State University, Fullerton, a M.A. from SDSU, and an Ed.D. from the University of San Diego. He was hired by SDSU in 1983 as a lecturer and rose to the rank of full professor, eventually serving as Director of the school. A versatile pedagogue, he taught subjects in a variety of areas, including music education, music theory, band, brass methods, conducting, and served as Director of the Marching Aztecs. Since his retirement from SDSU, Charles continues to perform music in a variety of settings.
