DigiDesign Pro Tools HD 5.1 Surround system
Visual display: Three 30 inch Apple Cinema HD displays provide as much screen real estate as possible to simultaneously display waveforms, dozens of plug-ins, and notation. The workstation has an additional 40-inch monitor above for film scoring.
Powered by Pro Tools HD3 Accel - with 27 processors for real-time processing, sitting inside a Mac Pro 8-core: Two 2.26GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 5500 series processors, with 32 GB RAM.
Together this creates a 35 processor super computer dedicated to composition, recording and sound design, with nearly unlimited power.
Front end inputs:
- Microphone pre-amp: Millennia Media HV-3 — considered by many pros to be the finest microphone pre-amp in the world—and used on almost every professional recording where the aim is to accurately capture the most subtle nuances of acoustic instruments.
- Keyboard: Kurzweil K2661S (syntehsizer/sampler by visionary inventor Ray Kurzweil)
- Microphones: large selection of mics by Josephson, Shure, Octavia, Studio Projects, Samson, Neumann
Software: Pro Tools HD, with hundreds of plug-ins, including the entire McDSP sound design and mastering suite and Waves Platinum mastering bundle.
