A longtime fan of the cartoon, scenic designer Mathys Herbert is one of many SDSU alumni and students helping bring the musical to the stage through July 12 at Cygnet Theatre in Liberty Station. As SpongeBob might say: Are you ready, kids, for a behind-the-scenes tour of the set?

In his hometown of Bogotá, Colombia, Carlos Castro created "Umbral," a permanent public art piece commemorating 460 healthcare workers who lost their lives while serving during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing a space for reflection and collective memory.
