FALL 2024 ENTRANCE AUDITIONS
Undergraduates must apply online at CalState Apply by November 30 for Fall admission.
Applying to San Diego State University:
The School of Music and Dance will notify students who have applied to SDSU to complete the School of Music and Dance online audition and application. All degree and non-degree programs in the School of Music and Dance require a performance audition or portfolio/paper submission in addition to the regular university application process. Audition applications are due by January 15, 2023.
NOTE: Applicants to Global Composition (GC) and Music Recording Technology and Audio Design (MRTAD) have no live audition, and are subject to a separate application deadline. All application materials for these two majors only are due, via interfolio, no later than February 12, 2023.

- Dance Auditions: February 11, 2023 and February 12, 2023 from 10am-3pm
- Music Auditions: February 4 and 5, February 11 and February 12, 2023
- Brass auditions will only be held on Saturday, February 4th, Saturday, February 11th and Sunday, February 12th
- Percussion auditions will only be held on Sunday, February 12th
- Woodwind auditions will only be held on Saturday, February 4th and Sunday, February 5th
- Classical Guitar auditions will only be held on Saturday, February 4th
- Jazz auditions will only be held on Saturday, February 11th and Sunday, February 12th
- Piano auditions will only be held on Saturday, February 11th and Sunday, February 12th
- String auditions will be held on Sunday, February 5th and Saturday, February 11th
- Vocal auditions will be held on Saturday, February 4th; Sunday, February 5th; Saturday, February 11th and Sunday, February 12th
