She has received San Francisco’s “izzie” awards in both choreography and visual design and has received grants from the Zellerbach Family Fund, CASH Grants, as well as residencies at ODC Theater, CounterPULSE Theater, the Djerassi Foundation, Purdue University and Goucher College.

Leslie lives in San Diego and is full time faculty in the School of Music and Dance at San Diego State University. She teaches technique, dance-making (choreography, improvisation and performance,) contact improvisation, choreography for the camera, and yoga. Leslie enjoys making new work with students and has travelled with this work to ACDFA (American College Dance Festival Association) in Baja and Northeast regions. In both conferences her work with SDSU students were selected for gala performance. She is committed to interdisciplinary projects on and off campus where dance is accessible, receptive and influential in contexts outside the studio and theater.
