Private Lesson Fees
Contact the Community Music School at 619-594-1699 for day, time, place, and fee for classes and lessons. Day and time may vary depending on time of year. Each program has different fees – please refer to individual programs for information on the respective fees and schedules
An annual $35 non-refundable registration fee is due at the beginning of lessons/classes each July. This fee is not prorated if a student begins later in the year.
Tuition is due for all scheduled classes/lessons/sessions/workshops, even those missed by the student.
PRIVATE LESSON FEES – FALL SEMESTER 2019 (September 3 through December 16, 2019)
Once-a-year $35 Registration fee due the first week of lessons with first payment (only once a year!)
There will be a $25 late fee assessed to all late payments.
30-minute private lesson, $555 full payment, or 4 installments $139 each
45-minute private lesson, $833 full payment, or 4 installments $208 each
60-minute private lesson, $1,110 full payment, or 4 installments $278 each
Installment Due Dates: September 8, October 8, November 8, December 8
Extra lessons in preparation for competitions and/or concerts can be scheduled at the discretion of each teacher at the cost of $72 per each hourly extra lesson (or $36 for a half-hourly lesson)
Note: Higher hourly rates apply to special rate faculty. Please inquire with the CMS office at 619-594-1699 for more information.
Once you have registered online you can contact CMS Director Carina Voly to discuss the process for your payment. After the confirmation of your amount due you can make payments in one of the following ways:
-By Check or Money Order (payable to SDSU Community Music School)
-In Cash (you will get a cash receipt)
You can either give your check, money order, or cash to your instructor, or pay in person at the CMS office. You can also mail your check (no cash please) to:
