Bachelor of Music, Professional Studies
The Bachelor of Music in Professional Studies is a broader music degree that incorporates performance studies (applied lessons), music theory, aural skills, music history, keyboard skills, ensemble performance, music technology, world music and vocal/instrumental methods. Students pursuing this degree must also complete a foreign language equivalency of two college semesters.
The program is designed for students who plan on a professional career in a music-related occupation, and it can also prepare students for advanced degrees in the music field. Admission to the BM, Professional Studies is by audition.
