Bachelor of Arts in Music

The Bachelor of Arts degree is designed to appeal to qualified students who possess a background in music and who wish to continue in-depth study of the art form, but who may not have professional aspirations in music.  This major incorporates many of the same lower division courses as the professional BM program, but ultimately has fewer units required in music.  A second major in another academic area is required for the degree, as is the completion of a foreign language equivalency.  Admission to the BA in music is by audition.
