Vocal coach Yewon Lee is much sought after as a collaborative pianist in the operatic and concert stage.  In the last 6 years, she has toured Korea and the United States, with renowned Korean tenor In Soo Park; their recital venues have included the Korean Arts Center, Busan Citizen Concert Hall in Korea and New York’s Merkin Concert Hall.  In the operatic world, she recently coached Cosí fan Tutte at the National Opera Center in New York City, Die Entführung aus dem Serail at the Aspen Opera Theater Center and The Impresario at the International Vocal Arts Institute in Israel.  She has also been on the music staff at the International Vocal Arts Institute in France, Italy and Japan.  In her native Korea she prepared productions of Der Graf von Luxemburgand L’Elisir d’Amore at the National Theater and Der Freischütz for Seoul National University.  Ms. Lee has accompanied master classes by Martin Katz, Graham Johnson, Dalton Baldwin, Licia Albanese, Anna Moffo, Catherine Malfitano, Bo Skovhus, James Conlon and John Harbison.

A native of Seoul, Korea, Yewon Lee received a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from Seoul National University, studying with Gye Sook Seo. She completed her Master of Music degree in Vocal Accompanying at Manhattan School of Music, studying with Kenneth Merrill and most recently, Ms. Lee earned the Artist Diploma Certificate from the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Margo Garrett.  Ms. Lee has studied privately with Metropolitan Opera assistant conductor Joan Dornemann and conductor Paul Nadler; as well as language specialists Nico Castel and Thomas Grubb. She currently holds a private coaching studio in San Diego.
