ADVANCED CERTIFICATE
ARTIST DIPLOMA

The Artist Diploma is the most advanced certificate program offered in the School of Music and Dance. It is reserved for the most highly-gifted and creative performers and composers. Artist Diploma studies provide intensive musical and management training with the intent of each student creating an international career. Pre-formed ensembles are encouraged to apply and may be considered for special paid residency opportunities. All interested applicants should possess a minimum of a Bachelor degree in Music and may have a Masters and/or Doctoral degree. Acceptance into the Artist Diploma program is highly competitive and predicated on the level and quality of performance and achievement. Candidates who live outside of Southern California may audition live or send a DVD with high quality accompanying CD; composers should send a portfolio representative of their finest work. For candidates living in Southern California or any applicant who wishes to be considered for financial support, a live audition/interview is mandatory. For more information please contact: Dr. Marian Liebowitz, Artist Diploma Advisor, liebowit@mail.sdsu.edu or telephone: 619-594-6046.
