Duo Colibri

Guitarist Magdalena Loza and flutist Tiffany Weller form the Latin-flared group Duo Colibri . Born out of a matching enthusiasm for chamber performance and Spanish music, the emerging ensemble offers a unique sound. Currently, Ms. Loza is a junior at San Diego State University with a degree objective of classical guitar performance. Ms. Loza has played as a soloist and as a member of ensembles in Baja California , Sonora , Veracruz and Mexico City . Ms. Weller is currently earning her masters degree in flute performance at San Diego State University . While earning her bachelor of arts degree at Fresno Pacific University , she frequently performed with her chamber group The Weller Trio, and as soloist in the university's chamber orchestra and flute choir.
